Job summary

Alstom is hiring for a contract and claims management role to safeguard interests and drive successful project execution across the lifecycle.

The role collaborates with Project Management, Legal, Finance and Operations to ensure governance and continuous improvement while delivering training and robust documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Law, Engineering, Finance, Technical, Economics or Business Sciences.
• Minimum 10 years in Contract/Claim or Project Management.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Ability to interpret contractual documents and financial implications.
• Experience with project management software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

You’ll play a pivotal role in safeguarding Alstom’s interests and driving the successful execution of projects by preparing, coordinating, and managing contract and claims strategies throughout the project lifecycle. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Project Management, Legal, Finance, and Operations), ensure compliance with Alstom’s governance and best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives—and much more.

We’ll look to you for:

• Driving contract management activities with the support of allocated resources, such as Project Contract Managers or Contract Administrators.


• Developing and implementing Contract Management Strategy Plans (CMSP) in collaboration with the core project team.


• Ensuring the consistent application of Alstom’s governance, including the Contract, Claims, and Insurance Management Manual (CCIM).


• Monitoring project schedules and ensuring all contractual milestones are met.


• Preparing and managing claims/counterclaims and supporting documentation for negotiations.


• Providing training on contract and claim management to key stakeholders across the project.

• Experience with project management software, contract management systems, and Microsoft Office tools.

Compensation

The expected compensation for this role is$110,000 – $150,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
