Job description

The Specialist, Strategic Sourcing is responsible for creating contracts by preparing, analyzing, and negotiating with vendors. They will provide internal customers with advisory assistance in contract management. Additionally, the incumbent will create and maintain various reports such as key performance indicators and dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Review and assess vendor B10 contracts.
  • Onboard vendors and perform due diligence activities.
  • Review and recommend changes to contracts of varying size and complexity.
  • Create, analyze, negotiate, and execute contracts for various transactions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, clients, and other business partners.
  • Maintain contract-related documents and correspondence.
  • Present contract information to relevant parties, including stakeholders and the Executive team.
  • Address contract-related issues, such as breaches of contract.
  • Track contracts and manage extensions, renewals, or closures.
  • Stay informed about relevant rules and regulations.
  • Negotiate contract documents, including specifications, conditions, and exhibits, with support from legal, IT, Information Security, and other departments, ensuring timely signing of agreements.
  • Maintain contract management master data.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.

Professional Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, Logistics (DEP), or equivalent.
  • Seven (7) years of relevant experience, preferably in the banking industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle high volumes under tight deadlines.
  • Effective time management and multitasking skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with peers and vendors.
  • Familiarity with IT products and services is an asset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software.
