Job summary

Purolator is hiring at Edmonton North Depot for a PM Sorter. You will sort and load freight, operate conveyors, and prepare packages for linehaul and curbside delivery in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Working hours are 30 per week, full-time, 14:00-20:30, Monday to Friday, with a permanent contract. Pay rate is $23.40 per hour. English proficiency is required to liaise with stakeholders across operations.

Qualifications

• Specialized education is not required.
• No experience necessary.

Responsibilities

• Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks.
• Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out.
• Load freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailer.
• Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles.
• Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items.
• Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packaged mail or packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery.

Location: Edmonton North Depot - 17718 114 Ave NW

Working Hours: 30 weekly hours

The PM Sorter sorts and separates freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet client delivery schedules.

Requirements

• Quick learner and ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Reliable and punctual
• Technological literacy
• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 70 lbs.
• CSA approved safety footwear
• Successfully complete a criminal record check to qualify
