Job summary

Purolator is hiring an AM Sorter in Dieppe, New Brunswick. The role involves sorting and separating freight by destination, weight, size and shape to meet delivery schedules. Work includes unloading and loading freight, preloading mail, and scanning items for accuracy.

No prior specialized education or experience is required; dedicated shift is Monday 2:00am–6:30am and Tue–Fri 2:00am–7:00am, totaling 24.5 hours/week. Pay rate is $19.28/hour.

• Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items.
• Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify mis-sorted items.

Shift: Monday: 2:00am to 6:30am; Tuesday to Friday: 2:00am to 7:00am (24.5 hours/week)

Description

The AM Sorter sorts and separates freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet client delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks
Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out
Loads freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailer
Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles
Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items
Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packaged mail or packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery
