Job summary

Purolator in Red Deer, AB is seeking a Part-Time AM Sorter to support our warehouse operations. You will help sort and prepare freight for delivery, with shifts 05:45-09:45, Monday to Friday. The role offers a competitive hourly wage of $23.40 and a collaborative team environment.

No prior experience is required, training will be provided. You must be able to lift up to 70 lbs and work with urgency in a fast-paced setting while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Working Hours: Part Time 20 hours per week
Monday to Friday 05:45-09:45

Wage: $23.40 per hour

The AM Sorter sorts and separates freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet client delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks
Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out
Loads freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailer
Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles
Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items
Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packaged mail or packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery

Requirements

• Proper scan and load techniques
• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a time sensitive environment
• Willingness to work as part of a team
• Attention to process, quality and/or operational standards
• Successfully complete a criminal record check and employment verification to qualify
• Obtain a clear Police Clearance Certificate when required

Experience

Specialized education is not required.
No experience necessary.
