Job summary

Purolator is seeking an AM Sorter for our Kamloops facility. You will help sort and move freight within a busy warehouse, supporting on-time delivery for clients. Hours are Mon-Fri 2:00 AM - 8:00 AM with a 30-minute unpaid break, totaling 27.5 hours per week.

Starting wage is CAD 23.63 per hour, with top rate CAD 29.23, and no prior experience required. This role requires English proficiency for communications with team members and stakeholders and offers a stable, warehouse-based environment

Responsibilities

• Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks
• Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out
• Load freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailer
• Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles
• Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items
• Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted items

The AM Sorter sorts and separates freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet client delivery schedules.

• Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles

• Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packaged mail or packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery
