Job summary

Purolator is recruiting for a part-time PM Sorter at the Edmonton South Depot. The position offers 15 hours per week, with a scheduled shift from 16:00 to 19:00, Monday to Friday, and a permanent employment contract. The pay rate is $23.40 per hour.

The PM Sorter will sort and separate freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet client delivery schedules, supporting curbside delivery and linehaul operations.

Qualifications

• Must work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs and wear CSA-approved safety footwear.
• Criminal record check required.

Responsibilities

• Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks.
• Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out.
• Load freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailer.
• Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles.
• Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items.
• Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packaged mail or packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery.

• Reliable and punctual
• Technological literacy
• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 70 lbs.
• CSA approved safety footwear
• Successfully complete a criminal record check to qualify

Experience

Specialized education is not required.
No experience necessary.
