A health authority in Canada is seeking a Social Worker to perform advanced professional duties. The role includes resolving complex psychosocial issues, working independently, and consulting with medical staff. Candidates should have a Master of Social Work degree, current registration with the BC College of Social Workers, and experience in a medical setting. Reporting to the Clinical Coordinator, performs professional social work of advanced complexity. Assists in resolving complex psychosocial problems. Carries out a variety of casework and counselling methods; consults extensively with hospital staff and community agencies regarding the psychosocial aspects of the patient's situation and participates in the training of Social Work students.
Masters of Social Work degree (M.S.W.) from an accredited school of Social Work required. Current full registration with the BC College of Social Workers. Related social work experience, preferably in a medical setting, and demonstrated clinical competence.
