Job summary

Bosch Truck Group Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to maintain a modern fleet of highway coaches and school buses in BC. You will review repair orders, perform diagnostics and repairs, and mentor junior technicians while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Heavy Duty or Truck and Transport Journeyman qualification.
• CVIP License (preferred).
• Diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, drive train, and air brake systems.
• Troubleshooting multiplex electrical systems and coach HVAC units.
• Class 2 or better driver's license is an asset.
• Willingness to engage in dealer training opportunities at our Red Deer facility.
• Pride and professionalism in everything you do.

Responsibilities

• Review repair orders and prepare for each service job with tools, information, and parts.
• Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs per procedures and safety standards.
• Restore vehicles to proper condition and keep work area clean and organized.
• Document findings and communicate additional issues.
• Close out repair orders accurately and support transitions to next job.
• Mentor technicians and apprentices by sharing skills and guidance.
• Promote a safe work environment and proper tool/equipment handling.

Key Responsibilities

The Service / Coach Bus Technician is responsible for maintaining a modern fleet of highway coaches and school buses. If you take pride in ensuring passengers travel safely and comfortably across BC, we want you on our team. Responsibilities shall include:

• Prepare for each service job by reviewing repair orders and gathering tools, information, and parts.
• Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs following established procedures and safety standards.
• Restore vehicles to proper working condition and ensure your work area is clean and organized.
• Document all findings and completed work and communicate any additional issues discovered.
• Close out repair orders accurately and support smooth transitions to the next job.
• Mentor technicians and apprentices by sharing skills, offering guidance, and supporting their development.
• Promote a safe work environment by encouraging proper practices and helping maintain tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• A Red Seal Heavy duty or Truck and Transport Journeyman qualification
• BC Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program (CVIP) License is preferred
• Diagnosing and repairing advanced diesel engines, drive train, and air brake systems/ air ride systems
• Troubleshooting complex multiplex electrical systems and specialized coachHVAC units
• Class 2 or better drivers license an asset
