Job summary

Bosch Truck Group Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to maintain a modern fleet of highway coaches and school buses across BC. You will review repair orders, perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs, and restore vehicles to working condition.

You will document findings, close orders, mentor apprentices, and promote safe practices. A Red Seal Heavy Duty or Truck and Transport Journeyman credential and a BC CVIP license are preferred; Class 2 driving is an asset.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Heavy Duty or Truck and Transport Journeyman certification.
• BC Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program (CVIP) license preferred.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, drive trains, and air brake/air ride systems.
• Experience troubleshooting multiplex electrical systems and coach HVAC units.
• Class 2 or better driver''s license is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for each service job by reviewing repair orders and gathering tools, information, and parts.
• Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs following established procedures and safety standards.
• Restore vehicles to proper working condition and ensure your work area is clean and organized.
• Document all findings and completed work and communicate any additional issues discovered.
• Close out repair orders accurately and support smooth transitions to the next job.
• Mentor technicians and apprentices by sharing skills, offering guidance, and supporting their development.
• Promote a safe work environment by encouraging proper practices and helping maintain tools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

The Service / Coach Bus Technician is responsible for maintaining a modern fleet of highway coaches and school buses. If you take pride in ensuring passengers travel safely and comfortably across BC, we want you on our team. Responsibilities shall include:

• Prepare for each service job by reviewing repair orders and gathering tools, information, and parts.
• Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs following established procedures and safety standards.
• Restore vehicles to proper working condition and ensure your work area is clean and organized.
• Document all findings and completed work and communicate any additional issues discovered.

Qualifications

• Diagnosing and repairing advanced diesel engines, drive train, and air brake systems/ air ride systems
• Troubleshooting complex multiplex electrical systems and specialized coach HVAC units
• Class 2 or better drivers license an asset
