Job summary

Bosch Truck Group is seeking a Service Technician for our Service department in Kamloops. You will assist customers with fleet maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, following safety standards and dealership procedures.

You’ll review repair orders, document findings, mentor apprentices, and help maintain a safe, organized workshop. Red Seal or Journeyman status with Cummins experience required; dealer training available at our Red Deer facility.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Heavy Duty or Truck and Transport Journeyman qualification.
• CVI License.
• Experience with Cummins engine diagnostics.
• 5 years' experience in the truck and transport industry.
• Willingness to participate in dealer training at Red Deer location.
• Pride and professionalism in work.

Responsibilities

• Review repair orders and gather tools, information, and parts.
• Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs following procedures and safety standards.
• Restore vehicles and keep workspace clean and organized.
• Document findings and completed work; communicate any additional issues.
• Close out repair orders accurately and support transitions to the next job.
• Mentor technicians and apprentices, sharing skills and guidance.
• Promote a safe work environment and maintain tools and equipment.

Reports to: Service Manager

We are looking for a Service Technician with the drive and ambition to succeed in a dealership environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Service Technician is responsible for assisting our customers with their fleet maintenance and repairs including the following:

• Prepare for each service job by reviewing repair orders and gathering tools, information, and parts.
• Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs following established procedures and safety standards.
• Restore vehicles to proper working condition and ensure your work area is clean and organized.
• Document all findings and completed work and communicate any additional issues discovered.
• Close out repair orders accurately and support smooth transitions to the next job.
• Mentor technicians and apprentices by sharing skills, offering guidance, and supporting their development.
• Promote a safe work environment by encouraging proper practices and helping maintain tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• A Red Seal Heavy duty or Truck and Transport Journeyman qualification.
• A CVI License
• A proven industry background with Cummins experience and training.
• Experience with Cummins engine diagnostics.
• 5 years' experience working in the truck and transport industry.
• A desire to challenge yourself, and a willingness to embrace the extensive dealer training opportunities we provide through our dedicated training facility located at our Red Deer location.
