Job summary

Finning Canada is seeking two Field Service Supervisors at Kearl to lead and mentor a team of technicians in a mining-driven, 14x14 shift environment. You will coordinate repairs, make warranty decisions, and collaborate with branch leadership to achieve service goals.

Strong leadership and communication are essential, as is experience with heavy equipment and safety policies. Applicants should have a Heavy Equipment Technician certificate (preferred), mining experience (asset), and a clean

• Heavy Equipment Technician certificate is preferred.
• Prior leadership experience is required.
• Mining experience is considered an asset.
• Experience dealing with warranty for new equipment is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Applications, SIS and Caterpillar Corporate Web Navigation.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean Driver's Abstract.

Are you an experienced mining leader who thrives in a busy environment? Do you enjoy working with new machinery, customers and mentoring technicians? As a Service Supervisor with Finning Canada, you will manage the team by providing strong leadership, measure technician productivity, coach, mentor, provide performance feedback and support the growth of the technicians. You will develop and leverage both internal and external relationships to identify process improvements, create standardization, and understand and achieve business goals.

Job Description:

• Model the way for a safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviors in support of Finning's Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
• Collaborate with the Product Support Service Manager and stakeholders at the Branch to ensure the successful execution of operations
• Coordinate and schedule work orders and repairs, provide warranty decisions and administer claims as appropriate
• Lead effective resolutions for customer and supplier issues to achieve high customer loyalty
• Motivate and develop technicians to achieve personal and team performance objectives
• Provide guidance to the teams on Finning policies
• Review and monitor warranty statements to ensure business objectives are achieved
• Manage and execute training requirements, performance evaluations and coaching sessions for all direct reports
