Job summary

Finning International is seeking two Mining Technical Service Representatives – Shovels and Drills to support our mining customers across Canada. You will build strong relationships, conduct site visits, and assess shovel and drill health to deliver actionable recommendations.

You will prepare customer reports, communicate opportunities to improve reliability, and coordinate with Parts and Service to ensure timely delivery of required components.

• Must have strong customer-facing mining industry experience.

Job Description

• Build strong relationships with mining customers and act as a trusted technical advisor
• Schedule and conduct customer site visits, equipment inspections and technical reviews
• Assess shovel and drill machine health and provide detailed analysis and recommendations
• Prepare customer reports and communicate opportunities to improve reliability and performance
• Coordinate with Finning’s Parts and Service teams to ensure required components and support are delivered on time

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic, Millwright, Engineer, or equivalent mining equipment experience
• Minimum 5 years of customer-facing experience in mining, heavy equipment or industrial operations
• Valid class 5 drivers license
• Strong knowledge of shovels and drills
• Caterpillar equipment experience is considered a strong asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organization, planning and time management abilities
• Strong focus on safety, quality and customer satisfaction

Important Notes

• This position may be based out of Edmonton, AB or British Columbia
• This position is on a 7x7 shift rotation
