Job summary

Finning Canada is hiring Heavy Duty Mechanics in Edmonton for a 7x7 shift. The role focuses on troubleshooting and repairing Caterpillar equipment, with daily use of Caterpillar SIS and ET. You will complete service reports and interact with customers and sales teams.

Eligible candidates typically hold a Journeyperson HET Certification; dual tickets and Caterpillar experience are assets. Union membership applies and a comprehensive benefits package is available.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification.
• Dual Tickets will be an asset.
• Previous Caterpillar experience is an asset.
• Willingness to participate and complete additional training.
• Self-motivated, computer literate, and safety orientated with the ability to work under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repairing Caterpillar and other mechanical equipment.
• Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily.
• Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes).
• Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team.
• Work with the Service Supervisor and Lead Hand on various tasks as required.
