Job summary

Destination Toyota Burnaby is seeking a Service Greeter/Porter to welcome customers to the service department, perform walk-around inspections, confirm vehicle information, and direct customers to the right staff.

You will maintain service drive cleanliness, arrange ride shares, move vehicles, and support the Fixed Operations team in maintaining a smooth flow of customers and vehicles.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated, process-driven and a team player.
• General knowledge and experience in automotive field.
• Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enjoy connecting with customers and taking the time to connect with them.
• Strong organizational skills with multitasking, prioritization and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to follow policies and procedures of the Fixed Operations Department.
• Valid BC Driver's License with a clean driving abstract.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers upon arrival to the service department.
• Perform walk-around inspection and assessment.
• Confirm basic vehicle information.
• Direct customers to the appropriate Service Advisor.
• Maintain general cleanliness of the Service Drive-through.
• Direct inquiries to the appropriate departments.
• Arrange ride share/shuttle rides as necessary.
• Move vehicles from the service lane to proper places in the service parking lot.
• Install disposable seat covers, floor mats, and I.D tags in serviced vehicles.
• Maintain cleanliness and maintenance of department and dealership grounds.
• Perform check-in procedures on incoming vehicles.
• Assist with tasks such as battery tests, trouble code inspections, and tire tread checks.
• Vacuum vehicles and run through car wash.
