Job summary

Destination Toyota Burnaby is seeking a Service Greeter/Porter to welcome customers at the service department, assist with basic vehicle checks and guide customers to the right Service Advisor. You will help keep the drive-through area clean and efficient, arrange shuttles, and support the service team with a friendly, professional presence.

Qualifications

• General knowledge and experience in automotive field are preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers upon arrival to the service department and guide them to the appropriate staff.
• Perform walk-around inspection and assessment of vehicles.
• Confirm basic vehicle information and direct customers accordingly.
• Maintain cleanliness of the Service Drive-through area and assist with inquiries.
• Arrange ride share/shuttle services as needed and manage vehicle flow in parking areas.
• Assist with initial vehicle check-in, battery tests and other quick service touchpoints.

What you’ll be doing:

• Greeting customers upon arrival to the service department.
• Perform walk-around inspection and assessment.
• Confirming basic vehicle information.
• Directing customers to the appropriate Service Advisor.
• General cleanliness of Service Drive-through.
• Direct customers and inquiries to the appropriate departments.
• Arranging ride share/shuttle rides as necessary.
• Drive vehicles from the service lane to their proper places in the service parking lot.
• Install disposable seat covers, floor mats, and I.D tags in all the vehicles taken in for service.
• General cleanliness and maintenance of department and dealership grounds as required.
• Perform multiple check in procedures on incoming vehicles.
• Perform other functions such as battery test, trouble code inspection, tire tread depth, etc.
• Vacuuming of vehicles and taking through car wash.

• Possess valid BC Drivers License with a clean driving abstract.
