Northland Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Prince George, BC is seeking a Service Porter to transport customers, clean interiors and exteriors, and prep vehicles for inventory or delivery. This role requires physical ability to maneuver around vehicles and attention to detail to ensure a thorough, high-quality finish.

You will support the Service and Sales teams, help park and organize vehicles daily, remove coverings, and report any damages.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Interest in automotive industry and knowledge about vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Experience with cleaning products and cleaning tools (power washers) is an asset.
• Dependable with strong attention to detail and prioritization.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsabilités

• Transporting customers and dealership personnel as needed.
• Maintain building and grounds as needed.
• Support Service and Sales Department duties.
• Daily organization and parking of vehicles for sale and service.

• Help with shop clean-up and deliveries when needed.
• Clean exteriors according to seasonal needs (e.g., snow removal).
• Identify lot merchandising needs and report to the manager.
• Place signage on vehicles for advertising.
• Monitor and organize vehicles daily based on progress in reconditioning.

Your area of focus.

In this position, theService Porterwill be responsible for transporting customers as needed, cleaning the interior and exterior of vehicles owned by customers and those that will be placed into inventory. Success in this role will require someone who has the physical capabilities to effectively maneuver around, under, and inside the vehicle to ensure a thorough and satisfactory detail has been completed.

What drives your day-to-day?

• Transporting customers and dealership personnel, as needed
• Building and grounds maintenance as needed
• Service and Sales Department duties
• Daily Organization and parking of vehicles for saleand service department
• Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags prior to returning completed vehicle to customer
• Inspect vehicles for stains,debrisand damages before returning the vehicle to the customer, and report any damageimmediately
• Assistwith service write-ups and tagging of customer cars and trucks
• Assistwith shop clean-up and deliveries when needed
• Cleaning off vehicle exteriors based on seasonal needs (i.e.snow removal)
• Identifyany lot merchandising needs or issues to theappropriate manager
• Placing signage in and on vehiclesfor advertising purposes
• Monitoring and organizing vehicles daily based on their progress in the reconditioning process
• Lot tidiness (garbage clearing,etc)

What Are The Must-haves…

• High school diploma or GED
• Interest in automotive industry, and knowledgeable about vehicles
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles
• Experience working with cleaning products and cleaning tools including power washers is an asset
• Must be dependable, reliable,possessa strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively
• Excellent customer service skills

Compensation

The expected range of compensation for this position is $18.25 – $20 Hourly — No bonus. The actual compensation offered will be based on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, education, skills and experience.
