Job summary

Barrie Ford is seeking a Service Advisor to join a customer-focused team in Barrie. The Advisor acts as the liaison between customers and our technicians, recommending needed services and handling maintenance requests while aiming to get the vehicle fixed right the first time. Documentation of concerns on repair orders is essential.

The role emphasizes accurate communication, attentive service, and collaboration with the service team to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient vehicle delivery.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Experience in the automotive service/advisory field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between customers and technicians to ensure service clarity.
• Recommend required service and repairs based on customer concerns and vehicle condition.
• Handle scheduled maintenance requests and upsell when appropriate.
• Document customer concerns on the repair order accurately and review the work order with the customer at delivery.

Purpose/Summary of Position:

The Service Advisor is responsible for ensuring that our service customers receive timely, friendly and efficient service. Acting as a liaison between the customer and our technicians, the Service Advisor recommends required service and repairs, handles scheduled maintenance service requests and sells additional services when appropriate. The Advisor helps to ensure the vehicle is fixed right the first time by accurately documenting the customer concern on the repair order and reviews the work order with the customer upon vehicle delivery.

Candidates must possess:
