Job summary

The Bayview Group in Moncton, NB is seeking a Service Advisor to support customers and the service team. Reporting to the Service Manager, this role is customer-focused and critical to diagnosing vehicle concerns and coordinating repairs.

You will greet customers, open repair orders with complete details, verify warranties, provide cost estimates and timeframes, and maintain clear communication throughout the repair process.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years Automotive/Truck dealership experience.
• Excellent Customer Service Skills with the ability to prioritize and focus in a fast-paced environment.
• Cooperative and team-oriented personality with a professional positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers. Open Repair orders with accurate and thorough information, including the details of the vehicle concerns.
• Verify open warranty recalls or campaigns available for the customer.
• Confirm warranty eligibility and process the warranty claims.
• Work with Service Foreman and technicians to maintain clear communication with the customer and ensure that their concerns are addressed quickly.
• Maintain communication with customers throughout the repair process, including approval of repairs, cost estimates and ETA.
• Ensure all charges are calculated and posted with accuracy to ensure timely close of Repair Orders.
• Identify possible upcoming Preventative Maintenance services and schedule them.
• Maintain an organized workspace and adhere to company policies and procedures.
• May include other administrative duties as assigned by the Service Manager or Foreman.

The Role

• Greet and WELCOME customers. Open Repair orders with accurate and thorough information, including the details of the vehicle concerns, to assist with proper diagnosis.
• Verify open warranty recalls or campaigns available for the customer.
• Confirm Warranty eligibility and process the warranty claims.
• Work with Service Foreman and technicians to maintain clear communication with the customer and ensure that their concerns are addressed quickly.
• Maintain this communication with the customers throughout the repair process, including, the customer's approval of the repair, an estimate of the cost and an expected time of completion.
• Ensure all charges are calculated and posted with accuracy to ensure timely close of Repair Orders
• Identify possible upcoming Preventative Maintenance services with customers and schedule for them.
• Maintain an organized workspace and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• May include other administrative duties as assigned by the Service Manager or Foreman.

Requirements

• Strong computer skills with an emphasis on Windows-based programs and MS Excel & Word.
• Minimum of 3 years Automotive / Truck dealership experience.
