Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Electrical Substation Design Engineer to contribute to large-scale projects across Quebec and Canada. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to advance modernization and new build electrical infrastructure for public and private clients.

Role requires strong technical writing, CAD proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring quality and compliance with standards. Fluency in French and English is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years design/execution experience in electrical substations or MV/HV infrastructure.
• eligible for OIQ membership or in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Identify client needs, define scopes, and prepare proposals and cost estimates.
• Design layouts and installations for medium/high voltage substations.
• Produce and review drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Conduct technical studies (lighting, grounding, voltage drop, busbar, etc.).
• Coordinate with engineering teams to develop integrated solutions.
