Zusammenfassung

Stantec is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to contribute to the design and delivery of large-scale HV substations across Canada and Quebec. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to modernize facilities or design new electrical infrastructure for public and private clients.

You will ensure designs meet quality, reliability, and code requirements while providing innovative solutions. The role offers growth, mentoring responsibilities, and client interaction, with opportunities

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 7+ years in design or execution of HV substations, power stations, or MV infrastructure.
• Member in good standing of the OIQ or eligible to apply.
• Strong knowledge of switchgear, transformers, protection and grounding networks.
• Ability to read and produce technical drawings, schematics, and documentation.
• Excellent technical writing skills in English and French.

Aufgaben

• Identify client needs, define scope, and prepare proposals and cost estimates.
• Design layouts and installations for HV substations and related equipment.
• Produce and review drawings, schematics, layout plans, and equipment lists.
• Conduct electrical analyses (lighting, voltage drop, grounding, busbar systems).
• Select equipment based on requirements and standards; prepare specs and reports.
• Coordinate with engineers, PMs, and other disciplines for project integration.
• Support field teams during execution and commissioning activities.
• Participate in FAT/SAT and design reviews as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of standards and tools.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to business development efforts.
