Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Engineer to lead HV/EHV substation design teams across North America. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, clients and vendors to ensure on-schedule, within-budget delivery of complex electrical projects.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering and PE eligibility, with 5+ years of experience leading multi-discipline design teams. The position offers a hybrid work model in Western Canada and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Bluebeam/Adobe Acrobat.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in scope, schedule and cost management; provide technical oversight.
• Identify and manage project technical risks and lead cross-disciplinary reviews.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients and vendors; review drawings and deliverables.
• Develop design plans, schedules and resource requirements for engineering activities.
• Prepare technical documents, specifications and reports; assist in proposals and estimates.
