Job summary

Consor is seeking a Senior Roadway Design Engineer in Toronto, Ontario to provide technical leadership and drive complex transportation projects from concept through construction. You will lead roadway, highway, and multimodal designs, mentor junior staff, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality, standards compliance, and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include overseeing design packages, performing analyses, supporting bids, and fostering client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• 10+ years of progressive transportation engineering experience with focus on roadway/highway design.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation required.
• Experience leading roadway design and delivery for complex transportation projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, development, and delivery of roadway, highway, and multimodal designs for varied projects.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight for roadway geometric design and related analyses.
• Oversee preparation and review of roadway design plans, specifications, calculations, and reports.
• Apply engineering principles and standards to deliver technically sound, compliant projects.
• Direct and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams across drainage, traffic, structures, utilities, and environment.
• Lead QA/QC reviews and resolve design issues to meet requirements.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and designers.
• Support project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Serve as technical contact with clients, contractors, and regulators.
• Provide engineering oversight during bidding, RFIs, submittals, and field condition evaluations.
