Job summary

Egis Canada in Toronto is seeking a Roadway Lead, a senior civil infrastructure professional based in Toronto, Ontario. The role provides technical leadership and roadway engineering oversight on multidisciplinary transportation projects in a hybrid work environment.

The ideal candidate brings 8–15+ years of civil infrastructure design experience, strong roadway design knowledge, and the ability to coordinate utilities, drainage, and staging across complex programs. A P.Eng.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or related infrastructure discipline.
• 8–15+ years of civil infrastructure design experience.
• Experience delivering roadway engineering and transportation projects.
• Strong understanding of roadway design, utilities, drainage, staging and interfaces.
• Experience performing design criteria compliance reviews and constructability assessments.
• Ability to support multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform roadway design reviews for compliance with project requirements and standards.
• Conduct engineering calculations, design checks, and technical validation.
• Prepare and review quantity estimates and documentation.
• Perform constructability assessments to identify design risks and constraints.
• Coordinate utility interfaces, drainage, and staging throughout project delivery.
• Support multidisciplinary coordination to resolve technical conflicts.
• Participate in QA/QC reviews and engineering documentation assessments.
• Contribute to construction planning discussions and roadway engineering deliberations.
• Assist leadership with risk management reviews related to design interfaces.
