CIMA+’s Municipal & Transportation Design team seeks a Senior Engineer - Roadway Design to lead roadway components on major projects, from preliminary through detailed design. You will coordinate with drainage, utilities, and municipal services and may be based in multiple offices including Bowmanville.

The role requires a P.Eng. in Ontario (or eligible) and at least 10 years’ highway design experience, with strong Civil 3D/MicroStation/OpenRoads skills and a track record with MTO or municipal

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• P.Eng. in Ontario or immediately eligible.
• Minimum 10 years’ roadway/highway design experience.
• Proven experience with MTO and/or municipal clients.
• Strong knowledge of highway standards, policies and guidelines.
• Detailed design experience on complex projects.
• Proficient in Civil 3D, MicroStation, InRoads and/or OpenRoads Designer.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle.

Responsabilités

• Lead roadway design components for major transportation projects.
• Act as a transportation engineer on MTO and municipal projects in preliminary and detailed design.
• Prepare and review technical reports, contract documents, design drawings, quantities, and cost estimates.
• Perform quality control reviews on plans, profiles, and design models in Civil 3D, InRoads, and/or OpenRoads Designer.
• Conduct initial site inspections and support constructability reviews.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technologists.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, agencies, and internal project teams.
• Stay current with evolving CAD and roadway design tools and standards.
