ABOUT THE ROLE
Ensure Lafarge products comply with all specifications. Support the implementation of best practices in quality and mix design optimization. Collaborate with operations and management to achieve quality objectives.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Implement and ensure compliance with Lafarge Safety Program, promoting safety on sites and in operations.
  • Manage quality activities at one or multiple plants independently.
  • Conduct and document quality control tests per local or national standards (CSA, ACI, ASTM). Maintain testing documentation.
  • Interpret test results and recommend adjustments.
  • Communicate with RMX Batchers on field measurements and required dosage adjustments.
  • Perform field testing for slump, air content, and concrete cylinders; conduct lab tests like compressive strength and sieve analysis.
  • Maintain calibration and documentation of testing equipment.
  • Review shipping schedules, plan testing, and participate in daily coordination calls.
  • Assist in developing new mix designs for lab trials under guidance.
  • Adjust mixes using the Quadrel system independently.
  • Train drivers, new hires, and batchers; promote new products.
  • Prioritize environmental compliance and act as an environmental steward.
  • Maintain good customer relations, support field quality issues, and educate customers on construction techniques and Lafarge products.
  • Coordinate QC activities at plants and on-site, and test raw materials for quality assurance.
  • Hold ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade 1 and Concrete Strength Testing Technician certifications.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • High School diploma; preferred: College in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Travel requirement: 10%.

  • Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Extensive construction and concrete product knowledge; market understanding.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Timely communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Compliance with safety protocols and PPE requirements, including being clean-shaven for respirator fit testing.
