Job Summary:

Our Ainsworth RBAS team is seeking an RBAS Specialist to join our Ottawa office. The ideal candidate is a recent graduate with some experience in the Building Automation industry. You will continue to grow your knowledge and assist the RBAS team in developing standards, evaluating products, and creating applications to meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the BAS group as directed by the hiring manager.
• Support site commissioning and perform monthly/annual inspections with field technicians.
• Perform monthly preventive maintenance tasks.
• Develop applications to meet customer needs and requirements.
• Enhance remote monitoring business efficiency through application development.
• Support sales efforts in national accounts.

Qualifications:

• 0 to 3 years of experience in Building Automation.
• Four-year college/university degree, or a two- or three-year post-secondary engineering technology or applied science program, or equivalent trade/field experience. Eligibility for registration with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) or Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) is preferred.
• Fluent in English (written and oral); French language skills are a plus.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans, specifications, and product documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Visio or scripting programming languages.
• Willingness to travel occasionally; travel expenses, including mileage, will be reimbursed.
