Job summary

CIMA+ is seeking a Senior Overhead Transmission Lines Engineer in Canada. You will lead a design team, deliver high‑complexity electrical infrastructure projects from feasibility to commissioning, and ensure safety, quality, and budget adherence.

Hybrid work model (2 days per week in office) with responsibility for 60kV–735kV lines, mentorship of junior staff, and collaboration with the T&D leadership team on major utilities projects across Canada.

Qualifications

• University degree in civil/structural/mechanical engineering.
• 15+ years of experience or 10+ years as a fully certified engineer.
• Registered with a Canadian engineering association, or eligible.
• Proficiency with PLS-CADD and CAD systems; drawing standards familiarity.
• Strong English communication; French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead a design team including junior staff.
• Design overhead lines for 60kV–735kV in utilities.
• Prepare documentation: reports, specs, proposals, estimates.
• Lead work packages with scope, schedule and cost management.
• Provide signed/sealed engineering deliverables as required.
