Job summary

CIMA+ seeks a Transmission Lines Engineer to design high voltage overhead lines and supporting structures across Canada. You will deliver signed engineering deliverables, supervise junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on large-scale projects.

The role requires a degree in engineering, 5+ years in transmission projects, and registration with a Canadian engineering association. Hybrid work is available, with two days in the office and flexibility to be based anywhere in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in civil, structural or mechanical engineering and professional registration in Canada (ON or other province)
• Minimum of five years of experience in transmission projects
• Proficiency with design/analysis software and CAD systems; ability to produce signed deliverables as Professional of Record

Responsibilities

• Design high voltage overhead lines and facilities for 60kV–500kV
• Design transmission line structures and foundations; create drawings and hardware assemblies
• Prepare project documents: reports, specifications, proposals, estimates, test plans
• Develop and manage design packages, scope, schedule, and cost
• Provide technical guidance, field reviews, and support to junior engineers
• Lead projects while maintaining safety, quality and regulatory compliance
