CIMA+ is seeking a Senior Overhead Transmission Lines Engineer to join its Energy & Resources team in Canada. This hybrid role focuses on delivering top-tier engineering, estimating, planning, and quality management for high-complexity transmission projects, guiding teams and ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

You will lead studies, drive innovative solutions, and collaborate with leadership to shape major infrastructure programs across Canada.

Qualifications

• English communication skills required; French an asset.
• Construction/field experience is required.
• Professional Engineer registration in Canada or eligibility is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a project design team, including junior and intermediate staff.
• Design overhead lines and facilities for voltages from 60kV to 735kV in an electric utility environment.
• Prepare project documentation: reports, specifications, proposals, estimates, design basis, and test plans.
• Lead and execute design work packages with scope, schedule, and cost; manage tasks for existing and new facilities.
• Provide signed/sealed engineering deliverables as a Professional of Record.
• Offer technical assistance, construction support, and field reviews as required.
• Develop design criteria with multi-disciplinary inputs; lead structural design and detailing.
