Job summary

CIMA+ is seeking a Senior Overhead Transmission Lines Engineer to lead multi-disciplinary design teams in the energy sector across Canada. You will direct engineering studies, estimates, and quality management for high-complexity projects and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

The role is hybrid (2 days at the office) and can be based anywhere in Canada, reporting to the T&D Lines Leadership Team. French is an asset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Masters-level degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer in Canada or eligible for registration.
• 15+ years of experience or 10+ years as fully certified engineer.
• Experience designing overhead transmission lines and associated facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a project design team, including junior staff.
• Design overhead lines from 60kV to 735kV, towers, foundations, hardware.
• Prepare project documentation and estimates.
• Lead design work packages with scope, schedule, and cost.
• Provide signed/sealed deliverables as a Professional of Record.
• Offer technical assistance, construction support, and field reviews.
