A leading automation solutions provider in Ontario is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design and test automation equipment. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience, proficiency in SolidWorks, and the ability to mentor junior engineers. Responsibilities include optimizing designs for safety and reliability, leading development projects, and collaborating cross-functionally. Signode fabricates and sells consumables and automation equipment used to pack, bundle, unitize, warehouse, and transport goods. The Innovation, Research, and Development team for automation and packaging technologies (APT) develops new products, tests them, and launches them to market. We are growing, and we need additional engineers to expand our capabilities and capacity for new developments.
This Senior Mechanical Engineer will conceptualize, design, detail, build, test, and document various updated and new automation equipment products, including equipment used for strapping, case handling, packing, unitizing, and warehouse automation.
