Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking a Human Resources Professional to support operations in Canada and the USA. The right candidate will have over 10 years of HR experience and a strong understanding of both Canadian and U.S. employment laws. Responsibilities include managing HR policies, recruitment, employee engagement, and advising on benefits. This full-time position is based in Sudbury, ON, or Golden, CO, and offers a competitive salary range of CAD 120,000 to 160,000. Remote arrangements may be considered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years experience in HR in a professional environment.
• Demonstrated history in both Canadian and U.S. employment law.
• Fluency in English, with French/Spanish as an asset.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR contact for North American operations.
• Develop, implement and maintain HR policies in line with legislation.
• Advise on compensation and total rewards structures.

Skills

10+ years of progressive HR experience

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Experience in Canadian and U.S. employment law

Proficiency with HR information systems

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

Advanced HR certification (CHRL, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP)
