Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior HR Specialist to join a hybrid team supporting operations in Kimberley. The role requires broad HR expertise, handling complex employee relations, policy implementation, and performance management, with a blend of remote flexibility and in-office collaboration at the Kimberley location.

The successful candidate will provide expert guidance to management and staff, lead HR projects, and contribute to talent management and compliance initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, industrial psychology, or related field.
• 5+ years HR experience, focus on employee relations and generalist HR.
• Knowledge of labour law and HR best practices.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with HRIS and data analysis.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior HR Specialist to join their hybrid team, supporting operations in Kimberley . This role requires a broad knowledge of HR functions and the ability to manage complex HR projects and initiatives. You will provide expert advice on employee relations, performance management, and HR policy implementation, working closely with management and employees. This position offers a blend of remote work flexibility and in-office collaboration at our Kimberley location, enabling effective engagement with the local team and wider organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complex employee relations issues, including investigations and dispute resolution.
• Develop, implement, and interpret HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with labor laws.
• Lead performance management processes and provide coaching to managers on effective feedback delivery.
• Contribute to talent management strategies, including succession planning and career development frameworks.
• Oversee HR compliance initiatives and audits to ensure adherence to legal requirements.
• Support HR projects, such as HRIS implementations or policy reviews, within a hybrid work context.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with a strong focus on employee relations and generalist HR functions.
• In-depth knowledge of South African labor law and HR best practices.
• Proven ability to handle sensitive and complex HR matters with professionalism and discretion.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with HR information systems and proficiency in data analysis.
