Job summary

Rapiscan Systems, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician 4 based in Vancouver, Canada. You will perform maintenance, repair and installation of mobile x-ray units at customer sites, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide on-site training and support.

Ideal candidates have electronics/technical education, 5+ years’ experience, and strong problem-solving and customer-service skills. You will coordinate with internal teams to improve equipment availability and service quality.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with ability to think independently.
• Solid customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledge of X-ray imaging security systems is a plus.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and occasionally more with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, repair, installation and diagnosis of mobile x-ray units to component level at various customer sites.
• Provides problem resolution and troubleshooting to customers.
• Installs equipment at customer’s location and performs repairs as required.
• Acts as liaison between customer and company to feedback on quality and satisfaction.
• Determines best method to resolve problems ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Provides customers with knowledge and training on proper equipment use.
• Completes paperwork such as service reports and surveys on time and accurately.
