Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and lead electrical power systems for heavy industrial projects across Canada. Based in an Ontario office, you will shape concepts, perform studies, and drive practical, safe, and reliable solutions.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate across disciplines, and ensure compliance with CSA, ANSI, IEEE standards while engaging with clients on complex brownfield and new build projects.

Qualifications

• Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario.
• 12+ years of electrical design for heavy industrial facilities.
• Experience with mining/metals facilities.
• Knowledge of CSA, ANSI, IEEE codes.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical power distribution and control for heavy industry.
• Conduct power system studies: load flow, short-circuit, arc-flash using ETAP or EasyPower.
• Prepare specifications and data sheets for switchgear, MCCs, transformers, and related equipment.
• Incorporate regulatory compliance and safety considerations into design.
• Oversee engineering calculations and verify design accuracy via field reviews.
• Coordinate design activities across disciplines and offices.
