Job summary
WSP in Thornhill, Ontario is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design of electrical systems for critical infrastructure. You will mentor junior engineers, supervise power distribution, lighting, control systems, and fire alarms, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical solutions.

Qualifications
- 10+ years of electrical consulting design experience in the industrial sector, preference for W&WW experience.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering; P.Eng designation in Ontario (PEO)
- Knowledge of low- and medium-voltage systems, including switchgear, transformers, MCCs, and VFDs.
Responsibilities
- Lead design of electrical systems for power distribution, control systems, lighting, and security for facilities.
- Prepare proposals, technical memoranda, design reports, and detailed electrical specifications.
- Manage projects, budgets, schedules, and client communications across multidisciplinary teams.
- Perform construction services tasks including shop drawings reviews, RFIs, and site inspections.
