WSP in Canada is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of complex municipal, institutional, commercial, and industrial building projects with autonomy.

You will mentor junior engineers, guide multidisciplinary teams, and ensure scope, schedule, and budget objectives are met while upholding design excellence. This role offers opportunities to shape the built environment across Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• P.Eng. designation and registration with the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
• 15+ years of experience designing electrical systems for commercial and industrial building projects.
• Deep expertise in electrical power distribution, grounding, fire alarm, lightning protection, emergency power, life safety systems, UPS systems, and arc flash studies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design and delivery of complex commercial, institutional, and industrial building projects from concept through construction.
• Drive innovative solutions for medium-voltage power distribution, emergency power, life safety, grounding, lightning protection, UPS, and fire alarm systems.
• Guide multidisciplinary teams by providing technical leadership, mentorship, and quality oversight throughout project execution.
• Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders while representing WSP as a trusted technical advisor.
• Develop detailed calculations, specifications, tender documents, reports, and engineering designs that achieve successful project outcomes.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects as Lead Engineer and Project Manager, ensuring scope, schedule, quality, and budget objectives are achieved.
• Support integrated project delivery and design-build initiatives that improve efficiency, collaboration, and project performance.
• Contribute to safer, more resilient, and sustainable communities through excellence in engineering design and execution.
