Job summary

National Bank Trust in a hybrid Montreal/Toronto environment is seeking a Senior Custody Analyst to be the primary point of contact for institutional clients, addressing day-to-day custody needs and complex settlements with accuracy and speed.

You will analyze trade settlements, cash movements, asset safekeeping and corporate actions, coordinate with custody operations, technology and business teams, and identify process improvements to elevate client experience.

Qualifications

• University degree in finance, business admin, accounting, economics or related field with at least five years of relevant experience.
• Experience in custody services/operations and institutional client services within financial services.
• Strong understanding of trade settlements, cash management, asset safekeeping and corporate actions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of institutional clients and respond to day-to-day custody requests.
• Analyze and resolve operational issues involving trade settlements, cash movements, securities positions, corporate actions, reconciliations and reporting.
• Review transactions, positions, cash balances and exceptions to identify root causes and follow up with clients.
• Coordinate complex client matters with Custody Operations, Technology and Business teams.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements to enhance service quality and efficiency.
• Participate in client meetings, operational reviews and due diligence exercises as required.
