Job summary

Aplin is seeking a Senior Commercial Account Manager to oversee a portfolio of mid-market and large commercial clients from renewal strategy through day-to-day support. This in-office role is based in Hamilton, St.

Catharines, or the Simcoe area of Ontario, offering long-term client partnerships within a stable brokerage team. Responsibilities include managing renewals end to end, client inquiries, endorsements, billing questions, and collaborating with insurer partners.

Qualifications

• RIBO license required.
• At least 5 years of commercial insurance brokerage experience.
• Exposure to mid-market commercial accounts is a major asset.
• Proven ability to manage full cycle of account service and renewals.
• Comfort with CRM or lead management tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage and service a book of mid-market commercial clients with high responsiveness.
• Lead renewals end to end: reviews, coverage recommendations, remarkets, negotiations.
• Handle inquiries, endorsements, billing questions, and policy changes.
• Support growth through referrals and cross-sell conversations.
• Maintain documentation and activity tracking in systems.
• Collaborate with insurer partners to keep files moving and clients informed.

Compensation

• Salary range of $65,000 to $95,000

Responsibilities

• Manage and service a book of mid-market commercial clients with a high standard of responsiveness and professionalism
• Lead renewals end to end: exposure reviews, coverage recommendations, remarkets, negotiations, and presentations
• Handle client inquiries, endorsements, billing-related questions, and general policy changes
• Support growth through referral opportunities and cross-sell conversations when appropriate
• Maintain accurate documentation and activity tracking in BMSand internal systems
• Collaborate with internal teams and insurer partners to keep files moving and clients informed

Qualifications

• RIBO License
• At least 5 years’ commercial insurance brokerage experience
• Exposure to Mid-market commercial accounts is a major asset
• Proven capability managing the full cycle of commercial account service and renewals
• Strong communication skills and confidence in client-facing conversations (phone, email, in person)
• Organized and able to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Bonus points for progress toward or interest in CIP coursework and comfort with CRM or lead management tools
