Job summary

Affirm, Inc. is hiring Senior Analysts for its Risk & Analytics team to tackle end-to-end analytical problems across the customer and merchant lifecycle.

You will own the analytical lifecycle from question to decision, influencing product, risk, and growth strategies with autonomy. Positions place you on multiple teams (POS, DTC/Card, Fraud, Core Analytics, Servicing, International Expansion) with a remote-first approach and opportunities to mentor others.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of analytically driven experience in consumer lending, credit, or fintech.
• Degree in data science, computer science, engineering, economics, or related quantitative field.
• Advanced proficiency in sql, python, or other scripting languages.
• Data mining, data visualization, and statistical modeling with ML experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives bridging product, legal, compliance, and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Optimize End-to-End Strategy by deriving insights and optimizing business, risk, or growth strategies across products and geographies.
• Monitor macro and market trends, adjust analytical and operational strategies to mitigate risk and balance growth.
• Model and build capabilities with engineering and ML teams to design metrics for risk, fraud, or growth models.
• Collaborate with product, legal, and compliance teams to interpret regulatory and market requirements and translate into analytics and product design.
• Oversee development and execution of analytical frameworks and coordinate launches and market entries with risk appetite and regulatory alignment.
• Engage external stakeholders to align practices, ensure compliance, and strengthen relationships.
• Mentor junior analysts and build AI-assisted workflows to scale analyses.
