Job summary

Scotiabank in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a Senior Client Relationship Manager for Agricultural Banking to manage a portfolio of farming clients, identify opportunities, and deliver tailored financial solutions. Credit authorizations range from $5 million to $35 million, with revenues of $25 million to $100 million.

The role requires travel, a strong background in commercial/agricultural banking, and experience with KYC/AML, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, or equivalent work experience.
• Commercial, business, or agricultural banking experience; ideally 2–5 years.
• Experience preparing and analyzing credit applications, with knowledge of commercial lending, deposit products, client profitability, KYC, and AML.
• Ability to assess moderately complex lending opportunities and financial strength.
• Microsoft Office proficiency, a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Grow and manage an Agriculture Banking client portfolio and develop strategies for sustainable business growth.
• Build referral networks, maintain a prospect pipeline, and conduct market analysis.
• Collaborate with product specialists to provide integrated financial solutions.
• Analyze financial information, prepare credit applications, and manage credit risk.
• Monitor the credit portfolio and ensure compliance with policies, risk guidelines, and authorization conditions.
• Lead client onboarding, including KYC and enhanced due diligence.
• Track agriculture-sector trends and market developments.
