A leading Canadian higher education institution is seeking a Senior Accountant on an 18-month contract. This hybrid position involves ensuring financial transactions are accurately recorded and optimally managed. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting and over 3 years of full cycle accounting experience. Key responsibilities include preparing financial statements and project implementation. The estimated salary range is CAD 61,000 to CAD 78,000 annually.

Expected hiring salary range: $61,000 up to $78,000 annually. Offered salary will be determined through an internal review process.
As Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring financial transactions are recorded appropriately and that financial operations are running optimally. We need someone detail‑oriented and proficient in the full cycle of accounting. As a key member of the finance team, you will contribute to the university's mission by optimizing financial resources, implementing best practices, and maintaining fiscal responsibility.
