Senior Account Executive, Western Canada

The primary responsibilities of the Senior Account Executive include prospecting, qualifying, selling, and closing new business with existing and new customers. The role involves bringing a strategic point of view to customer engagements and utilizing all resources to address customer needs with SAP products.

  1. Account and Customer Relationship Management
  • Achieve or exceed revenue targets, including software licenses and cloud subscriptions.
  • Develop account plans to ensure revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships based on expertise and understanding of customer needs.
  • Understand customer technology footprints, strategic plans, and industry trends.
  • Lead designated territories and accounts, fostering relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive business plans utilizing ROI and benchmarking data.
  • Demand Generation and Pipeline Management
    • Maintain a disciplined and current sales pipeline.
    • Leverage support from marketing, partners, and channels to generate opportunities.
    • Utilize SAP solutions across various product lines to advance sales.
    • Execute sales strategies to close opportunities and support promotions and events.
  • Sales Excellence
    • Focus on selling value and executing upsell and cross-sell initiatives.
    • Coordinate resources effectively to maximize sales success.
    • Maintain accurate CRM data and understand competitive positioning.
  • Leading Virtual Account Teams
    • Demonstrate leadership in managing remote teams.
    • Ensure account teams and partners are aligned with account strategies and prepared for customer engagements.

    Experience & Language Requirements

    • 10+ years in complex business software/IT solutions sales.
    • Proven success in business application software sales and team-selling environments.
    • Experience with large transactions and long sales cycles in competitive markets.
    • Fluent in English and the local language, business level.

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
