Job summary

Bosch Building Technologies in Ottawa is seeking a Technician I - Security to assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of security systems on client sites. You will work with experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience with low voltage access control systems, CCTV, and prewiring projects, and you may perform night shifts as needed.

Strong communication, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently are required.

Qualifications

1–3 years of experience in a technical role within the integrated security industry.
Proficiency in cable pulling, installation, and basic troubleshooting.
Experience with security systems including CCTV and alarms.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with customers and team members.
Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Assist in installing and servicing electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV and intrusion alarms.
Pre-wiring, installing, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cables, connectors, and related components.
Assist in system design and layout.
Provide customer training for proper system usage and respond to technical inquiries.
Relationship building with clients and prospects for future opportunities.
Administrative duties including project updates to Project Managers and filing documentation.
Occasional night shifts as required by project/service needs.
Perform other tasks as required.
