Job summary

ATS Algoma Technology Services seeks a Senior Security Systems Technician in Sault Ste. Marie to install, configure, and maintain CCTV, alarm, access control, and VoIP systems across multiple sites. You will read schematics, diagnose field issues, and ensure seamless integration with network infrastructure.

The role requires strong hands-on experience, excellent communication, and willingness to travel. A valid driver's license and safety certifications are essential in this field.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience with CCTV, alarm, and access control systems.
• Proficient in structured cabling, equipment installation, and system integration.
• Strong networking knowledge: IP addressing, subnetting, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS.
• Self-sufficient trouble-shooter able to work in the field.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain CCTV, intrusion, access control, and VoIP systems.
• Read drawings and wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment documentation.
• Diagnose and resolve field issues and ensure systems operate properly.
• Perform equipment installations, structured cabling, and system integration.
• Travel to various job sites and manage multiple projects or assignments.
• Communicate professionally with clients, colleagues, contractors, and vendors.
• Work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Follow safety requirements and industry standards.
