Job summary

Bosch Building Technologies in Ottawa is seeking a Technician I - Security to assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of security systems on client sites. You will work with experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience with low voltage access control systems, CCTV, and prewiring projects, and you may perform night shifts as needed.

Strong communication, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently are required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a technical role within the integrated security industry.
• Proficiency in cable pulling, installation, and basic troubleshooting.
• Experience with security systems including CCTV and alarms.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with customers and team members.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract and ability to work independently.

• Pre‑wiring, installing, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cables, connectors, and related components.
• Assist in system designand layout.
• Provide customer with training for proper system usage and respond to technical inquiries.
• Relationship building with clients and prospects for future opportunities.
• Administrative duties including project updates to Project Managers, completing and filing all project documentation.
• You may be required to work “night shifts” when needed based on project/service requirements.
• Perform other tasks as required.

Required Qualifications

Salary Range: $20.50 - $29.69 DOE
