Job summary

Johnson Controls is looking for a Service Technician to install, integrate, commission, and service advanced security systems including access control, CCTV, intrusion alarms, and intercoms.

You will troubleshoot field wiring issues, coordinate programming with the team, and ensure customer expectations are met with high-quality solutions. A valid BC Security TQ Licence and IT proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Security TQ Licence is required.
• Proficient with Windows OS, MS Server and Office, and basic IT networking.
• Experience with installation and servicing of security systems such as C-Cure 9000, Kantech, Genetec, Lenel/S2.
• Minimum HS diploma or trade school; technical degree preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently install and inspect equipment per manufacturer specs.
• Coordinate field activities for seamless programming, integrations and commissioning.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot field wiring issues.
• Advise customers on optimal solutions to restore systems.
• Manage service calls and allocate field labor hours effectively.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
• Prepare reports documenting daily activities and system performance.
