Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Security Technician in Canada who troubleshoots intrusion, IP CCTV, and access control systems from multiple manufacturers. You will identify customer needs, communicate next steps, and ensure full functionality through repairs and testing.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in low-voltage or security and hold a high school diploma. A valid driver’s license and strong customer service skills are required, with unions and local benefits supporting the role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in low-voltage or security industry.
• Excellent knowledge of major security manufacturer platforms.
• Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
• Ability to pass thorough background and identity checks.

Responsibilities

• Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring.
• Readjust equipment, repair, or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation.
• Coordinate inspections with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agencies.
• Perform repair and/or inspections of intrusion detection, IP CCTV and Access Control systems.
• Assist fellow service technicians with system repairs and complete minor repairs including battery replacement.
• Test operation of system to the customer monitoring center to properly establish service connectivity.
• Complete all forms accurately and customer paperwork as required.
