Job Summary

The Security Systems Technician Apprentice will be responsible for installing and troubleshooting security system components in commercial and institutional settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review installation orders, gather equipment, supplies, and tools to prepare for installations.
  • Install and service electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion alarms.
  • Survey and evaluate locations, identify installation requirements, and develop installation plans.
  • Install equipment and run wiring.
  • Verify system functionality by testing equipment, connections, and signals; identify and correct problems.
  • Troubleshoot systems and resolve issues for customers and end users.
  • Maintain confidentiality of organizational information.
  • Follow safe practices and keep security information confidential to maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications
  • Security Systems Technician Training.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Background check and security clearance.
